Graduated with honours in Law from the Catholic University of Milan in April 1986 with Professor Federico Stella, and awarded the Gemelli Prize, in the September of that same year she began her career in the law firm of Francesco Arata and Claudia Shammah.
Admitted to the Bar of Milan in January 1991, she was authorised to practise before the Court of Cassation in March 2003.
She gained extensive experience working with Francesco Arata and set up “Studio Legale Arata e associati” with other partners in January 2012. She provides consultancy and judicial assistance in various areas of criminal law, dealing mainly with crime against the person and property, crime against the public administration, and corporate, bankruptcy, financial and stock market related crime. She is also specialised in culpable crime related to accidents in the workplace, medical liability, environmental and construction offences and issues related to the administrative liability of legal persons. In the course of her career she has represented defendants in many major criminal trials of national importance in the corporate, bankruptcy and financial law area. Although she is part of a structured and organised law firm, she personally follows all the proceedings she deals with, being aware of the special importance of a trust-based relationship with all clients involved in various capacities in criminal cases.
